Debate tournament of beginners

During the weekend November 18-19, 2022, our students took part in a beginner's debate tournament organized by the Slovak Debating Association. The event took place at the Gymnasium Kukučínova in Poprad. The competition was huge, 140 participants. The discussions took place in 18 rooms. Our school was represented by the tetrad Gregor Kubej, Kristián Varga (1A class), Viki Iždinská (2B), Jonáš Bábela (3B).
The tournament consisted of four debates. Our students won two debates and lost two ones. Since we are a team that is just starting its activity, we can consider it a success. We believe that by gaining experience we will keep improving and winning as many debates as possible in the future.

Začiatočnícky debatný turnaj

Cez víkend 18.-19. novembra 2022 sa naši žiaci zúčastnili začiatočníckeho debatného turnaja, ktorý organizovala Slovenská debatná asociácia. Podujatie sa konalo na Gymnáziu Kukučínova v Poprade. Konkurencia bola veľká, 140 účastníkov. Debatovalo sa v 18-tich miestnostiach. Našu školu reprezentovala štvorica Gregor Kubej, Kristián Varga (1. A), Viki Iždinská (2. B), Jonáš Bábela (3. B).
Turnaj pozostával zo štyroch debát. Naši žiaci dve debaty vyhrali a dve prehrali. Nakoľko sme tím, ktorý svoju činnosť len začína, môžeme to považovať za úspech. Veríme, že získavaním skúseností sa budeme stále zlepšovať a vyhrávať čo najviac debát.
