Pupils in Auschwitz, Krakow

From 20th to 22th of September, 2022, the students from 4th and 5th year went on an educational trip to Poland. Our trip started with a visit to the Jewish museum, where we learnt about the history of Polish Jews before the second world war started. After the visit, we had a historical tour of the city of Oswiencim. We focused on cultural monuments in the city. This tour was prepared by our classmates. We finished the first day with an open programme and had time to explore the surroundings.
The next day, in the early morning hours, we travelled to a concentration camp. First, we went on a 4-hour tour in Auschwitz, after that we travelled to Auschwitz – Birkenau, where we spent 2 hours discovering the local area and its history. After an exhausting tour, we moved to the second biggest city in Poland, Krakow.
The last day was about discovering the city of Krakow. We visited a Jewish neighbourhood. Our classmates also prepared a visit to the historic part of the city and showed us some astonishing historical monuments.

On behalf of both years, we want to thank our teachers who went with us. We are so thankful for the opportunity to make new and exciting memories. This experience was something we will remember for many years to come.

Exkurzia do Osvienčimu, Krakova

V dňoch 20.– 22. septembra 2022 sme sa my, žiaci 4. a 5. ročníka, vybrali na edukatívny výlet do Poľska. Náš výlet sme začali návštevou židovského múzea, kde sme sa dopočuli o histórii poľských Židov pred začiatkom 2. svetovej vojny. Následne na to sme mali prehliadku kultúrnych pamiatok v meste Osvienčim, ktorú si pripravili naše spolužiačky. Prvý deň sme ukončili voľným programom a spoznávaním okolia.
Na ďalší deň sme sa už v skorých ranných hodinách vybrali na miesta koncentračného tábora. Ako prvé sme podstúpili 4 hodinovú prehliadku Auschwitzu a následne na to sme sa presunuli do Auschwitz – Birkenau, kde sme strávili 2 hodiny spoznávaním miesta a jeho minulosti. Po náročnej prehliadke sme sa presunuli do druhého najväčšieho mesta v Poľsku, Krakova.
Posledný deň sme si spríjemnili návštevou mesta Krakov a jeho židovskej štvrti, kde si taktiež naši spolužiaci pripravili zopár náučných prehliadok a ukázali nám krásne historické miesta.

V mene oboch ročníkov sa chceme poďakovať aj našim učiteľkám, ktoré to s nami absolvovali a taktiež aj za možnosť prežiť nezabudnuteľné zážitky, na ktoré budeme dlho spomínať.
