Herb garden

It was only in May when we responded to Nadácia EPH (EPH Foundation) and its grant programme “Naturally”, and at the beginning of June 2018 we had already got good news – our project of an Herb garden was successful and supported with a sum of 2 500 €.
All the activities within this project are going to be realized thanks to EPH Foundation.
As the project is to be realized only from June to November 2018, we hurried up with planting our Herb garden. After we had purchased the seedlings, all the materials, equipment and soil needed, we could start working. Three days of the science workshop (with the help of the 3rd years working under Mrs. Gabika Antalová) resulted into two elevated herbal patches we managed to create. We are going to use the medicinal herbs we will have grown there for preparing tea and fragrant mixtures.
This was only the first activity within the project. We will continue working on it during the summer break and the next school year. Our aim is to create a relaxing, resting area. We would like to install new benches there, renovate the old ones and enlarge our exterior fitness park, adding another machine in the Meditation garden. We hope we will manage to accomplish all of it successfully.

Bylinková záhradka

Ešte v máji sme zareagovali na výzvu Nadácie EPH v jej grantovom programe „Na prírodno“ a začiatkom júna 2018 prišla potešujúca správa – náš projekt, s názvom Bylinková záhradka, bol úspešný a podporený sumou 2 500,00 €. Všetky aktivity projektu sa uskutočnia vďaka podpore Nadácie EPH.
Keďže realizácia projektu trvá len od júna do novembra 2018 poponáhľali sme sa s výsadbou bylinkovej záhradky. Nakúpili sme priesady byliniek, potrebný materiál, náradie, zeminu a prvá brigáda sa mohla začať. Počas troch dní na prírodovednom workshope (výdatne pomáhali žiaci tretieho ročníka pod vedením pani Gabiky Antalovej) sa nám podarilo vytvoriť pred školou 2 vyvýšené záhony s bylinkovou záhradkou. Vypestované liečivé rastliny použijeme na prípravu čajových a vonných zmesí.
Zatiaľ to bola len prvá aktivita schváleného projektu. Práce budú pokračovať aj počas prázdnin a budúci školský rok. Naším zámerom je aj vytvorenie relaxačnej a oddychovej zóny osadením nových lavičiek, opravou existujúcich lavíc a doplnením exteriérového mini fitnes parku o ďalší stroj v Meditation garden. Tak nám držte palce, aby sme to všetko úspešne zvládli.
