Reformation - catharsis

The Reformation is dated to 31 October 1517 in Wittenberg (Germany), when Martin Luther issued his Ninety-Five Theses. The theses debated and criticised the Church and the papacy, but concentrated upon the selling of indulgences and doctrinal policies about purgatory, particular judgment, and the authority of the pope.
As a school, we remembered this event by displaying posters of the Reformation and history of Lutheran church in Slovakia.
In addition to some historical data, on the church service held on October 27, 2017, we were thinking about the importance of the clean environment around us. We have different collecting containers for plastic, paper, glass, ... But what do we do with our interior? What waste do we hide there? Anger, helplessness, nasty words, immorality, ... How do we clean our thoughts, relationships, emotions? Do we use the opportunity of an effective drug that we have in the person of the Lord Jesus?
The students have to respond to these questions individually, during autumn holidays.
And so I wish all, that this year's celebration of the Reformation will also affect and change our thoughts, words and actions. If we change, our surroundings also changes automatically.

Reformácia – očista od nánosov a falše

Evanjelici na celom svete si 31. októbra 2017 pripomenú 500. výročie reformácie. Práve 31. októbra 1517 teológ Martin Luther vyvesil na dvere zámockého kostola v nemeckom meste Wittenberg 95 téz vystupujúcich proti pápežskému učeniu o odpustkoch.
Ako škola sme si pripomenuli túto udalosť výstavou plagátov z dejín reformácie a Evanjelickej a. v. cirkvi na Slovensku.
Okrem niektorých historických údajov sme sa 27. októbra 2017 na službách Božích v zvesti slova zamýšľali nad tým, ako nám záleží na čistom prostredí vôkol nás. Máme rôzne zberné nádoby na plast, papier, sklo,... Ale čo robíme so svojim vnútrom? Aký odpad tam skrývame? Hnev, bezmocnosť, škaredé slová, nemravnosť,... Ako si čistíme svoje myšlienky, vzťahy, emócie? Využívame možnosť účinného lieku, ktorý máme sprístupnený v osobe Pána Ježiša?
Na tieto otázky si už žiaci majú odpovedať individuálne počas jesenných prázdnin.
A tak nám všetkým prajem, aby aj tohtoročná oslava Reformácie nás zasiahla a zmenila hlavne naše vnútro – naše myšlienky, slová a skutky. Veď ak sa zmeníme my, automaticky sa mení aj naše okolie v ktorom žijeme.
